Wasn't as funny as it's previous counterparts and handled grief in a particularly ham handed way.
The trailer made it look like it was 2 love interests pitted against eachother but that's not what happened at all. And because of that the first love interest felt like a throw away and the second happened pretty abruptly.
Generally bad writing.
The funniest thing to happen in this film was the woman 4 rows in front who during one of the more somber moments was attempting to pour an entire bottle of white wine into a glass very loudly
Want to point out I only ever watch the directors cut of this. Which adds an extra hour but really fleshes out the storyline.
This films scale is insane. When the army of Jerusalem walks in through the desert haze gave me chills
I binge watched Akudama Drive (AD) in a day because it was recommended on one of those "top 5 animes to watch in a day" lists.
Let me just preface by saying I enjoyed the anime and I don't regret watching it at all. However, my enjoyment doesn't necessarily make AD a good show.
