Five Minutes of Paradise 1959
Murnau-Filmtheater Sa, 27.04. / 21:00 Uhr
Lucijan and Stevan, a pair of Yugoslav prisoners in a German concentration camp, are sent on a risky mission to dismantle unexploded bombs, under SS supervision. Working in a German general’s bombed-out house, with their guards safely away, the two men try to make the most of their “five minutes of paradise”, indulging in hedonistic pleasures before their likely deaths. The strong queer undertones of the relationship between the two men are at the forefront of this existential story about life’s pleasures during wartime and sacrifice.Translated from by -
