Smile 2 2024
THIS was what I was missing from Horror films, actual scares, a solid script and damn good cinematography. Naomi Scott’s performance was just wow, can’t wait to see her in more projects. Love how they incorporated the mythos from the first film to fit the narrative of the troubles of stardom, along with the real life documented struggles of addiction that comes as a consequence of fame.
This was way better than the first. A complete upgrade. I’d love to see what they come up with for a third film. There’s potential.

Beautiful, yet tragic. This is one of those musical to film adaptations that would benefit of trimming down the songs and sequences that don’t really add much to the overall story in favor for more action/dialogue scenes. For movie that is 3 hours long, there isnt much ground that is covered and not much happens until the third act and is left up in the air.
