I’m guilty of loving a movie with a strong gimmick more than I should. I love the “one shot” Birdman and 1917, or the creative usage of a silent film in The Artist.

Moana 2 2024
An equally if not better story than the original. I loved the premise, the journey, the arc of Moana, and the added side characters made for an even larger film. I felt like the Moana world was explored more much like how Frozen to frozen 2 went bigger. Whereas Frozen 2 has a slight drop off in music quality from Frozen, Moana 2’s music is a much steeper drop off than the music of Moana.
