Blade Runner 1982
I can imagine being alive back when this movie came out and being astonished by its graphics and visuals. A personal interest for me that this movie appeals to is the prediction of how the future looks. For instance, the juxtaposition of flying cars and floating buildings housing computers that can’t run Doom is hilarious.
However, I finished this movie feeling empty and missing something. Plot-wise, it did a good job at handling the dystopian aspects, but compared to similar movies around the time like Robocop, I don’t think it truly complemented its visuals with the entertainment value it desperately needed.
