Every detail you see in a movie is a meticulous decision deliberately made to thicken the storytelling. Unless your movie sucks. Unfortunately, you’re not breaking down social barriers if the main black guy and the main gay guy have to flee from their lovers to live a normal life. Pretty sure the gay dude went to San Diego, go figure he’d end up there. The black fella? He didn’t say, but apparently he was spotted in Budapest. So much for escaping the racists.
