Upon second watch I a) caught on to the more underlying tones of the fragmented relationships between family members from post-communist countries (a lot of internalized misogyny, listlessness, de-prioritization of the personal & the spiritual) & b) found the sound of those windshield wipers to be even more haunting than before.
