Yep its pretty funny.
I think it would be a lot better film for me if I were a middle aged woman struggling with grief for my husband, raising my children, and romance later in life. However, I'm not any of those things (yet).
The biggest issue with this film was entirely predictable, yet just as devastating- not enough of Hugh Grant's character. I'm of the opinion that all of the bridget jones films can be directly ranked by Cleavers…
This is actually just such a poor film. Awkward delivery, weak writing, absent chemistry and just...jarring. I can only assume the source material is better. I must admit I haven't read it. But if a film requires you to read the book first to not be awful then it's awful.
Also, found it weird how she does a total 180 and starts loving him only AFTER seeing his expensive house. Then every reason she loves him somehow revolves around him…
