  I'll certainly be speaking out of my depth (no pun intended) here since neither economics nor politics is my area of expertise. But, the film in trying to put forward the message of communism as a solution to the bleak world created by capitalism also highlights the pitfalls of communism, the most obvious one that it needs an enforcer. The people did not buy into the seemingly rational idea of proper rationing of food until they were threatened or beaten…
