Very triggering and a hard watch but beautifully woven real allegory on being so consumed by pain, you can’t help but continue to permeate it everywhere, especially when we go through life never communicating or getting the sorry’s we are owed. Hurt people hurt people but we can all do with hurting each other a little less.
Rooting for moses connection at the end of the film. He deserves to be loved in all of this.
The cinematography is what drew me in, it’s so beautiful but the dialogue is what had me at the edge of my seat. Felt as though I was a watching a crossover between real housewives and handmaids tail and to hear the words ‘laroscopy hysterectomy’ at that precise moment… please let this award scene be grateful for such a masterpiece of a film.
Disappointed that people are so focused on the sex and ‘kink’ or lack thereof but can’t seem to see deeper into the themes of childhood and sexual trauma.
It’s a great allegory on how you can eventually or try to escape the control that conditioned you but innately you’re wired forever to seek out the traumatic and abusive ways you’ve been taught love.
I always try empathise and remember that it could very much happen to me but not this I’m sorry 😭 could never be me!
