Well, Mr. Juice has just come back. How about I return to actively participating on here now?

Sadly, my suggestion for Dick Cavett to make a brief appearance in here wasn't granted. The movie certainly went for killing off Charles Deetz though. All the better for it. Honestly, I'm getting giggles from remembering the OTT way this movie uses that character. Whose idea of that grave marker was it?

I haven't recently watched this movie "Life Itself." I'm using it as a stand-in for my low-key announcement that relates to the subject of this movie, Roger Ebert. First, I'll discussed my personal history to the name in some length. If you just want to read my little announcement, then scroll down to the last paragraph.

Roger Ebert. I love this man. He's my idol, one of my favorite writers, and someone who got me interested in any…

It almost gets carried away with its gear shift to melodrama in the second half. Fortunately, this short pulls through by the end. Liyabona Mroqoza, the girl who plays "Litha", is fantastic. Most importantly, and this goes for each of this year's nominees in the Live Action Short category regardless of who ends up taking the Oscar, this has a completely relevant topic to be recognized and shared.

I didn't know about this short movie's year of initial release until the day after I watched all of the nominees in this category. If you told me right after I watched A Lien that it was shot and assembled between November 6th of last year and New Year's Eve, I might've been gullible enough to believe it. Deeply unsettling to watch in this day and age.

It's kind of funny seeing the Nicole Kidman ad and Tom Cruise's message within two minutes prior to the feature, huh?

Believe the hype, folks. "Top Gun: Maverick" is rock-solid entertainment. It greatly improves on the original 1986 film, and this is coming from someone who doesn't care much for that one. Is the sequel just as pro-Navy and continues displaying the opponents as faceless enemies? It does, as expected. Is the "Tom Gun" cheese still intact? It…

It's no "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence", but it's a pretty good "Pinocchio" adaptation of its own.😁

    🇮🇪🎪🐒
"Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio" is a heartfelt spectacle made with care and love in every single frame, and it's in a league of its own when it comes to delivering something for the whole family. While it has its share of comedy, adventure and heart, the movie is certainly more intense than the normal PG-rated animated movie these days (Strap in for Mussolini…
