truly outstanding animation. i saw it when it was first released so it’s really nice to appreciate it much more now. jude is the best commentator for a film like this! minus half a star because they should’ve gone full force for the classic cartoon jokes - piano key teeth, birds circling head, maybe throw in a roadrunner or two

the visuals are stunning and i really liked the typeface but the script was so disappointing? swaps between no direction and throwing a hundred surface level ideas at you throughout.

pamela anderson was great and the supporting cast too (billie lourd was questionable…). i just wish it was better.

today is grudemas and i’m like rather drunk but i still know that this was an Excellent film. incredible performances from the main trio - one of those heartwarming/heartbreaking instant classics.

this is stupid but a week ago my 14 y/o dog got put down and it’s been killing me and i cried a couple times with mary through her dead son lol. idk. life is hard and i miss people, pets and things. it’s okay to miss things. i’m grateful for what i have at this moment too.

genuinely quite insufferable - every single line of dialogue was so empty, the storyline just wasn’t interesting or well-managed (matching the characters) and everyone just seemed dead behind the eyes. editing was also frequently jarring. i began to fall asleep.

david o’russell is a prick and i hate the film industry for letting him stay relevant
