Now this is bond. Everything comes together for this. The good parts of From Russia with love are built on with the addition of a bond car and a catalog of quips. In the first ten minutes a man is electrocuted in the bath and bond retorts ‘shocking’. Connery also looks great in this film.
I don’t think we talk enough about the fact that a character is literally called Pussy Galore ‘I know writers who used subtext and they’re all cowards’.
Second instalment of the bond rewatch. Better than Dr No still not into the bond formula yet as the gadgets and cars aren’t there yet we do see Desmond Llewelyn for the first time which is nice. We get a theme song.

Easily the second best of the franchise. Too many films about dead dads did make me think about the passing of my father a lot more from the perspective of my mother.
Nearly made it without any tears however the girl behind me who was sobbing set me off.
Going into very well known films without knowing anything about them is my super power. Had no idea that it ended that way and was also very upset about Michael.
Waltz is obviously the star of the show but nice to see Brad actually command scenes that he’s in (instead of being cucked by Morgan Freeman #what’s in the box?)
I know Tarantinto says he wanted Adam Sandler as the Bear Jew I just think that would’ve been shit watching happy Gilmore whack some Nazis.
