A crazy and wild ride that came with questionable execution. And, unfortunately, this type of film is just very much not my thing which made it a lot more difficult to let the nonsense pass by and just enjoy the insanity instead. Can understand how this works for some people but I just don’t think I’ll ever be that person :(
Unbearably melodramatic, frustratingly boring and plodding, flatly lit with bland cinematography, and consistently baffling editing choices among many many other things. It consistently conflates parenthood purely with biology, and it has two entirely different stories it attempts to tell that do nothing to benefit each other and feel counterproductive. You can tell where things are going early on, but the film takes an hour and a half slowly getting the characters to that same point as you have to go through…
Wasn’t expecting to cry to The Tigger Movie tonight, but sometimes life do be that way. Then Kenny Loggins came on just to make me sob even more.
