One of my favorite romcoms of all time. For a movie as seemingly nihilistic (is that why they called him Nyles?) and hopeless as the first half of this appears, Palm Springs is undeniably a story of finding something - or someone - to live for. There’s something about time loop movies that absolutely wrenches at my soul with their ability to so accurately and poignantly prescribe the diagnosis of the human existence. We live, we live, we live again, and all we can do is continue living and hopefully find something that makes it just a little bit better. Or somebody, on that note.
