Yeah this is just an incredible film. As much as I love Mikey Madison Fernanda Torres is an Oscar winner in my heart.

If this movie was just about Deanna (Melissa McCarthy), Christine (Maya Rudolph), and Frank's (Damon Jones) relationship this would probably move it up quite a bit, just because of how effortlessly well they all work together. Unfortunately that isn't this movie. This movie was a little peculiar, but mostly boring and didn't really have many jokes that landed (obviously besides what I previously mentioned). I feel like they really just glossed over how weird this whole going to college with your mom really is. It is a comedy though so maybe I'm being too much of a stickler on the premise.

I actually really enjoyed a lot about this. It felt as if the idea of Hereditary was shot through the lens of The Substance. The acting from Kelly Marie Tran was definitely a stand out from everyone else. The way it dealt with depression and self-acceptance wasn't anything revolutionary, but I don't think that is inherently a bad thing. The biggest thing to me was the pacing. I really liked how it just throws you into the thick of it,…

I know that the story isn’t really there but if you’re watching Fast and Furious for the plot then that’s your first problem. My biggest problem however is Lucas Black putting on a clinic of completely unbelievable acting which makes it very difficult to get through the scenes that aren’t racing. With that in mind the main point of this movie is to showcase drifting and Tokyo (maybe, definitely emphasis on drifting though) and in that context it delivers. The drifting scenes are phenomenal. Also Han Lue is one of the coolest characters out there, and I aspire to be as chill as him.
