I’m probably in the minority on this one so come at me, but this was way below expectations. Enjoyed the color-grading and production design but other than that: thought the acting was fairly weak, the flow to be scattered and confusing, the POV cinematography was not my favorite, and the pacing made my skin crawl. Blame ADHD but the ultra slow, one-sided monologue style chunks of episodic dialogue had me squirming. Found myself thinking about how they filmed certain shots but never slipping into the narrative. Who knows- could be a drastically different experience if I read the book but alas.. I did not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Looked great, sounded great, acted great. Could’ve been about an hour shorter and maybe it would’ve saved itself from the weird meandering 3rd act… But alas, I had to do multiple google searches to accept that Laszlo and Harrison weren’t real historical figures.

Hard to watch for much of it but powerful and very well done. Bout time I finally watched this.

Simple, sweet, thought-provoking. I liked it.
