Pattinson delivers yet again—a masterful performance from him. Ruffalo is hilariously vile and disturbingly familiar. Strong theming and characterization, which is par for the course with Mr. Bong. A certifiable, hilariously surreal addition to his growing list of stellar work.

I love how weird and zany he allows this movie to be. You can tell it was an absolute blast to film. Pattinson throws himself across the set like a man possessed, dripping with flavor and intensity. He also elevates…

    Challengers

    ★★★½

    I’m struggling to place Challengers.

On one hand, I was in love with the characterization and depth of the trio, linked by fate, birth, and genetics to sport. By love, hatred, and jealousy to one another. Suspension of disbelief is necessary for my enjoyment of a movie, and Minari is effortlessly real. Scored and shot dripping with character and intention. Also, Alan Kim is quite possibly the cutest kid in the history of cute kids.

took my 9 year old cousin to see this. i’m so grateful itsv paved the way for this genre. in the over saturated superhero slosh that oozes through the theaters each year, fresh takes reignite my shrunken boyish love for them I hold in my heart. especially sitting next to little cuz who was cracking up at the jokes, and eating up every second.
this movie has some great characters with wonderful voice work. the teens are so teen. the dad is so dad. it’s relatable, fun, and gleeful.

    i’m down for another.
