The Brutalist 2024
Movies are magic. This movie is a thriller with twists and yet it’s not at all. It plays with the conventions of typical genres but in an entirely cerebral way. I feel like Vonnegut and Wiesel would have honored this movie and it’s entirely timely, wise, and gives me hope.

Loved it. I spent many hours as a kid gazing into a candle flame. Like any good fantasy, by the time you get used to the “rules” of the world it’s finished and you’re left wanting more.
