this story sucked. it very much tried to make you laugh, and then tried to make you cry - but the emotional investment to get to those places just wasn’t there. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh were as great as you’d expect, but it felt like they weren’t given a lot of substance to work with and they just kept things going on raw talent and hotness

i love it when movies try to sell me things. especially the importance that gran turismo is a sim, not a game, and the all-new 2023 Porsche 911 GT3RS (992) and the 2020 Koenigsegg Gemera in a movie that’s theoretically set in, uh, 2013. mostly this is a movie with real story threads underneath it that plays very fast and loose with the details in an area with an incredibly nerd-filled audience. only notes it really could nail were the ones coming from the VR38DETT
