The older I get, the harder it is to watch Jar Jar bumble his way through the galaxy. If only they had not taken him to Tatooine, it would have been a different movie.

A Goofy Movie 1995
Unironically, I do think this is one of the best movies from the "Disney Renaissance." A memorable, catchy soundtrack drives a warm-hearted look into the conflicting relationship of a teenage father and his son. The animation and voice acting are sufficient, but this film's most commendable attribute is its ability to illustrate Max and Goofy's individual perspectives as legitimate interpretations of the emotional rigors of their life-stage.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio 2022
Here del Toro has given the Pinocchio legend more than a body and a soul - he has breathed into it true intent. This film is a beautifully animated, bizarre examination of family, love, life, and joy mingled with grief.
And it is in the end a lovely thing to live among those whom we most love , just as it is a tragedy to lose those whom we most adore.
My gut impulse is 5*, but this certainly dragged in the middle. This is now the second film featuring Ewan McGregor that has left me in tears. 92.
