So I know I just watched this last week, but my brother told me to watch both of them back to back and so I did. Even fresh off a re-watch it did not disappoint. The more you watch this movie, the more you can start to look around the edges of the scenes to see exactly how excellent the creative direction for this movie was.

Got to introduce my roommates to the spiderverse and they’re traditionally against super hero movies, but even they had to admit this was a game changer. This movie ages like wine. The animation, color theory, soundtrack, story, and quotes will always get me. “How will I know I’m ready?” “You won’t, it’s a leap of faith. That’s all it is Miles, a leap of faith.”

The annoying thing is that I saw the trailer the day it came out, told myself I’d see it in theaters, and I never did. Easily one of the best holiday movies ever. Can’t say they don’t make em like they used to because this is our generations breakfast club.

Interstellar 2014
Formerly a 4.5 and now a 5. I had only seen this movie once but got the pleasure of witnessing it in imax and this is just one of those movies that is an experience you don’t forget. The whole idea of grappling with love as a force that transcends dimensions the way gravity does while exploring the idea of 4th and 5th dimensions is just beautifully executed. The film has its flaws in my opinion, but the experience plus all of the wins more than make up for the sins.
