Not very picky, I see everything. I love indie dramas, horror, sci-fi, rom-coms and animation.
Gremlins 2 is pretty great.
A thoroughly weird movie that pays sincere homage to Hitchcock and the great thrillers of classic Hollywood and while it’s not at that level it is immensely enjoyable and intriguing. It tested my patience and made me roll my eyes in more than a few areas but it’s such an wildly fascinating story that I have to recommend it. Plus there’s a scene where Andrew Garfield shuffles through a pile of old Nintendo Powers so it wins me over with that alone.
I love this movie! The stop-motion and practical fix are phenomenal and scream “90s video game commercial” and the humor is relentlessly dumb with a satirical edge to it, lampshading a variety of tropes to great effect. The acting is wonderfully corny with characters serving as parodies of very overplayed archetypes. A totally rad grossout pic.
