  The Big Lebowski 1998

  First time watch for me, which is weird because everyone I know loves this flick. No one ever sat me down to watch it but I was just loaned a DVD. Fun story about a case of mistaken identity that wraps an aging stoner up in a crazy mess of missing persons and odd characters. As weird as this movie is, it surprises me how many people love it. It's well worth watching and I'm glad I finally did.

  I did not realize this was a Jim Jarmusch film until I saw his name in the beginning credits. Being a huge fan of Ghost Dog and Dead Man I was immediately excited. This one is quite a different animal. First it's a horror-comedy. Second it's got a couple of fourth wall breaking meta moments that made me laugh when they happened.   Such a great, gory movie. David Harbour sounds a little like Ron Pearlman but is definitely his own take on the character. So many great scenes from the comics that made it to the screen. I will be watching this again.
