The spectacle of this is just astounding, a technical and visual marvel. I'd forgotten how sombre these movies are, there's a real air of sadness around this; how the world has changed so dramatically, how the real conflict is less between apes and humans, but between apes and humans who want resolution through conflict, and apes and humans who want resolution through peace. Very "rage against the dying of the light"-type hope fuelling this from our leads, where you can't help but bite your fingers as it all begins to escalate. Great stuff all around, very watchable
