This is so gorgeous but I’m not really sure what it’s trying to say. It never really challenges her perspective of wealth or position and writes the revolting people of france to be the scary enemy of all the pretty girls and boys who just want to have fun. We don’t really get any nuance even when someone brings up the poverty crisis and wartime, because it never strays from the beautiful fantasy. It was still a nice watch and as much as I enjoy vignette no plot characters interacting movies I wonder if the story would still hold up without the massive budget

someone needs to set up a rehab clinic for indie film bros trying to quit making bad found footage movies. The first two thirds of this are grueling but the last bit is awesome.
