12 Angry Men 1957
A stunning and powerful film. I loved how the movie felt almost like a play even though it worked best as a movie. The cinematography and blocking was magnificent. The film was so visually appealing despite the lack of color. The acting was also amazing and each actor really brought out the humanity and uniqueness of each character. The dialogue was also some of the most incredible writing I have ever heard.

Murder on the Orient Express 1974
I loved the book and I found that the movie had done it considerable justice. Something I loved about the book was the humor and I was happy to find that this remained in the movie adaptation. The movie was also amazing in so many ways. It had stunning costume design, wonderful music, great blocking and gorgeous cinematography. I also loved the beautiful use of the smoke from the train in many of the shots through the film. The dialogue was also absolutely brilliant most of which is due to Agatha Christie’s incredible writing. An excellent and entertaining mystery movie.
