I watched "Murders in the Rue Morgue" (1932) directed by Robert Florey. It stars Bela Lugosi, Sidney Fox, Leon Ames, Leon Ames and numerous others. It was a pre-code movie and only about 60 minutes long. From IMDb, "A mad scientist seeks to mingle human blood with that of an ape, and resorts to kidnapping women for his experiments." I don't know that I would call him mad but definitely oriented only to his work and not having much thought…
I watched "Mickey 17" directed by Bong Joon Ho. It stars Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, and numerous others. With one regeneration, though, things go very wrong." This was on a ship heading to a…
I watched "Bound" (2023) directed and written by Isaac Hirotsu Woofter. It stars Alexandra Faye Sadeghian, Ramin Karimloo, Jessica Pimental, Bryant Carroll, Quincy Giles, and others. From IMDb, "In order to escape her drug dealing abusive stepfather, a young introvert flees to NYC. After successfully reinventing herself, she realizes she must confront her dark past, to truly be free." Again, there's a lot more than that. Upon reaching NYC, she is homeless. She gets help and support from numerous people,…
I watched "Moonfall".directed by Roland Emmerich while balancing my checkbook. This movie is really dopey. It is dumb. Oh, it is very pretty but OMG is it stupid. I may waste my time and watch it again too make sure that simply not paying sufficient attention made it seem really, really stupid but I doubt that will change anything.
