John Wick: Chapter Two is a fine successor that maintains the momentum of the original while increasing the choreography complexity. The love for tactical technique is apparent and flourished throughout, and the stuntmen are equally skilled in their own right. The action is supplemented with visual effects that overwhelm, yet this world feels entirely contained in its madness.

Damien Chazelle's La La Land is a wonderfully kenetic and passionate experience. A fully realized musical world pairs with a heartbreaking narrative that is surprising and rewarding with every beat. Although not necessarily "the most terrifying film you will ever experience", "Evil Dead" is a trill ride of gore and violence. It stands apart from the original, and it definitely holds it's own. While honoring it's predecessor, "Evil Dead" strays away from the classic, paving its own modern story. There are definitely flaws and unanswered questions, yet it might be on purpose... I hope Fede Alvarez has some more plans for the future. He did a fantastic job that I'm sure many ED fans will appreciate.

Oh, and be sure to stick around after the credits...
