Mickey 17 may be a bit too on the nose at times with its Trump allegories (although his fate was certainly satisfying to watch) and some of the events in its proceedings may not make much sense to the plot but it succeeds by having a lot of fun with itself, being backed up by a talented cast and crew and acting as another entry in Bong’s ongoing advocacy for animal rights. Five stars for composer Jung Jae-il who cannot seem to fail. Nice to see that the macaron trend still hasn’t taken off 20 years in the future.
