Rebel Ridge 2024
Watched this on Netflix on a lazy Saturday. Imo the writing was mid and the movie dragged on for far too long with little to no payoff at the end. One thing I found funny was the main character deciding that another character would be codenamed “Serpico” despite no one ever calling them that except for him. He even told “Serpico”, that “We’ve been calling your Serpico”. Literally no one referred to them that way the entire movie

Date night movie: For a typical slasher, this one was pretty enjoyable. The character development was well executed and the cinematography payed tribute to some iconic horror and romcom films. It felt like an unofficial sequel to the Scream franchise

Watched the dubbed version of this film. I’m sure the subbed version would have been better but this is a well-written movie and at the time it came out was ground-breaking in its plot line that many other films and even video games have since copied.
