The Parenting is a lovely bit of fun. A gay couple are the leads and the rest are excellent character actors. I showed up for Parker Posey and Brian Cox and they both bring their signature over the top alls! It's mostly comedy in a horror premise (and most of the jokes work) but when it wanted to hit hard, it did.
If you have access to Max, it's well worth a look.
CW/TW: I watched this a day ago so I don't remember but there were several off-color jokes; not edge lord behavior but it's been a while since I've seen a comedy with intentionally thrown barbs; vomit
The Gutter is a wacky near cartoonish comedy film with a great cast. Not all the jokes work, but a lot do and the silliness is charming. It's campy AF but like straight cis campy if that makes sense.

I had always been obsessed and terrified by the VHS box art and concept so hadn't had a way to see it until now, thanks to Amazon Prime. Outstanding! Well worth the wait. I didn't know that I needed Firestarter blended with the madness of Lifeforce but I'm thankful it exists. Also, Dourif is amazing as always.
Ridiculously fun and surprisingly unpredictable 80s cotton candy madness. Experience this for yourself. Seeing is believing. And the theme song is amazing!
