  Mikey 17 felt like a hands off from interference bloated budget Netflix movie that need a few more people saying no and a few more edits. I was mostly on board for 1st half but the direction it went after Mikey 18 was introduced killed it for me. I don't think most of the physical or written jokes land (I did laugh at 'thank you for the invite' 'sir you were subpoenaed' part). The relationship felt more like a pet…

  This was better than I thought it was going to be. They kept the story fairly grounded and it didn't get too wacky and I think that helped. Jennifer Lawrence was pretty good. She showed a good amount of range and depth that I'm not sure another actress could have brought to the table.

  The first responder time in this movie was recognition level quick.

  Imagine Mindy and Randy going toe to toe laying out what the rules are.

  The cold open was great. The rest was pretty good. The motivation for the killing was...fine. Less than desirable but fine. Looked good. I have a Last Podcast on the Left logo sticker on my water bottle the same logo as the poster in the beginning. Sam Carpenter is a pretty good character I hope they don't fuck it up. This is probably better than the last one.
