  I bought the criterion dvd of this movie, I mean at least I have it. Wes Anderson movies are certainly neat. 

  Give Owen Wilson some credit for his major contributions to this otherwise typical lifeless movie, not his performance of that god awful pointless character but in his writing. I see this same thing in Rushmore, where he was also a co-writer alongside Anderson, he just gives the style some real merit for once in my life. I could write…

  Overused to death themes that don't properly resolve, shallow uninteresting characters, and a ridiculously fast pace that has never and will never work, get this a nature focused flick that can only spare 3 or 4 moments of pure uninterupted beauty.   The writing and order of scenes are really spectacular. Apart of the reason i love peanuts movies are the child psychology aspect of them and in this one it is one of the best ones. Its so easy to dislike the mean kids that point fun at janice but they're not written in a way to make them dislikable and irritating but to show the several different viewpoints a naive child may have to such a serious situation. It's a serious episode which may turn some people off but the snoopy+woodstock scenes in between are a real pressure reliever
