Some surprising statistics I’ve seen about this:
- Costs more than Endgame
- Costs 32x as much as the brutalist
- Costs more than the past 10 best picture winners combined30 min too long
It all just felt so empty. Even seeing or hearing some actors I really love didn’t do anything for me. Because it was empty.The value this movie gives vs how much it costs is actually really depressing. Could’ve saved me (over!) 2 hours and financed dozens of independent films with it. Or fed some folks. Idk.

“Shit is hella grand, Greg.”
Feel-good stories often struggle to not be cheesy, contrived, or redundant. But as CODA proved a couple years back, when they are well-meaning and well-executed, they’ll always have a place in the culture.
I loved seeing actors I love that I don’t see much act their hearts out and help to tell such a cool story.
