Liked the opening sequence, the boss’ standing speech, how it looks, how it’s shot and sounds. I like how metallic it all is. Great music. I think that’s it.

Straight off finishing this film at 3:17 am. This made me feel all sorts of things. Aggressively snapped back and forth from being seriously aroused to seriously upset then very content again then very uncomfortable then laughing then uncontrollable then tender then really fucking excited then very tense. So many things, this film is just something else. What the fuck even happened here. Lynch is a master of feeling. I like how much he really pushes this in every way…

An incredibly unique tragedy. Leaves you with the most suffocating feeling as Marnie is finally free from her apparent trauma only to fall helplessly into the arms of Mark, who, through psychosexual manipulation, has blackmailed her into that position. Despite this, the film frames him as a saviour and a force of good in her life creating a sickly and deeply unsettling feeling when she resigns simply stating ‘I’d rather be with you than go to jail I guess.’ Triumphant…
