I don’t often feel like I have a connection to a text before I watch or read it. But I can recall having similar somewhat telepathic connections to the Green Knight and Everything Everywhere All At Once, before finally seeing them in theaters for the first time. It might not be quite telepathic but more of an attraction or relationship to the text that draws me in before I actually experience it. And all three of these counts, I’ve felt…

What an incredibly original structure for a film.

I’m so inspired by the way Jones is able to blend non fiction interviews that are arguably the most beautiful talking heads I’ve ever seen with short elaborate micro scenes that evoke so much emotion. It was always going to be incredibly hard to follow Parasite. I enjoyed Mickey17, more for losing myself in its quirky sci fi world that eerily echoes the present that we are living through today.

When I saw the way they animated the water, I could tell they were just trying to flex. What a crazy little film that went so far. I was actually terrified at many points watching this. Terrifyingly serious allegory for climate change.

It’s also so cool that it’s designed with the animal watching experience in mind. Momo enjoyed listening to the sounds.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is everything I hoped it would be and more which is astonishing because I actually had really high expectations going into it.

It arrives at a perfect moment in my life. I laughed, I cried, I loved it from start to finish.

The stop motion rock scene reveals the truly absurd nature of what we were doing: watching as light particles dance across a screen in rapid succession to create the illusion of movement while shoveling…
