  Certainly thought-provoking but bit off a lot more than it could chew. Movie was at its best when it was using the aliens to explore the nature and limits of language. Got in wayyyy its over head when it tried to extrapolate that up to this larger mediation of life and time. Feels like it kind of cheapens linguistics and packages it into a Joe Rogan podcast convo.

  Also side note love the non linear pacing of the movie to match the alien language. Never seen that done before in a movie
