  While this film is often described as a mammoth effort by a young female director (which it actually is), it started out simple with no lofty agenda. This explains the ingenuity felt throughout the film as it is told from the perspective of a woman trying to document and at times protect her little sister/friend. Despite its controversial subject, the film never feels heavy-handed. An entertaining watch, very laudable.
