    love the song selection, the depiction of urbanity loneliness, chance encounters, fleeting connections. A snap-shot of a city at a moment in time.

    More cerebral and talky than I expected, and Hugh Grant delivered an impeccable, entertaining performance. His monologues were always delivered with incredible panache. As an insufferable organised religious skeptic, I found myself agreeing with many of his arguments.

    Once they walked through the belief/disbelief door I found the second and third act less satisfying.

    (a nitpick - where did he find all those women trapped in his basement? how many times has he done this, especially since the set-up is so elaborate?)
