The gags are funny, but "libtardness" becomes a gag in a way that makes me unsure what the filmmakers are trying to say. The dialogue felt a bit too tropey and forced at times, and I couldn't bring myself to like Molly's character until the very end. She just feels like an empty caricature. Does not even come close to Lady Bird.
An amazingly well-crafted narrative that unfortunately feels so close to documentary.
