The sci-fi film of the 2020s, for now at least. Incredible from start to finish. Uncompromising, passionate, and even subversive. An otherworldly visual and auditory spectacle that begs to be seen on the largest screen accessible to you. Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem are scene stealers amidst a cast of heavyweight young and old.

    22 films to start 2022 from the 20s to the 20s #9.

An easy to watch and incredibly entertaining 2 hours. Will definitely go down as one of my favorite film experiences as I got to watch it alongside my grandparents, who I could tell enjoyed it as well. And the fact that they had a good time made the whole experience 100x better.

Audrey Hepburn is such a treasure and I can’t believe I haven’t seen any of her films until now.

A poorer adaptation than even Goblet of Fire. None of the character development or pain of the book. Incredibly surprising they didn’t at least get it to 2.5 hours, as it is it’s pretty much just a clip show highlight reel of the book. If the action filled 4th book is going to be 2hr37, this can easily match that. This book is meant to be a slow burn analysis into the mind of a traumatized (and retraumatized) 15 year old. What we get is 5% of that.

Aggressively mid. Should’ve been scrapped instead of being Frankensteined into this. A waste of Mackie and Ford’s talents. Poor writing and direction saved by some decent action. They definitely cut a lot of dialogue heavy scenes and emphasized the action, cause that was the only thing working.

Kristen Stewart's best work yet. At the moment she is my lead for best actress. She puts on a brilliant performance in a film that makes it known that it is not a biopic. Instead, it's an abstract look at how Diana escapes the royal family (if she ever did escape). My favorite scenes were anytime she was with her boys or Maggie, the immense change in Diana's mood makes it a joy to watch. And it made me…
