Rashomon 1950
gave me jury duty flashbacks in a good way, and I weirdly got thrown for a loop by the medium (spent too long trying to figure out if she was faking and if she was playing an angle, instead of taking her at face value) but overall maybe my favorite Kurosawa? In the Mood for Love 2000
The words "Charlie Brown adult" leapt unbidden into my brain whenever they showed their spouses as vague unseen figures and made me laugh, I'm sorry. Tenet 2020
The closest I'll ever get to Nolan making a movie about wizards and I love it. I also think it's hilarious he equates radiation to magic in this and then immediately makes a biopic about the guy that invents the atom bomb. I don't know what to do with that info but I can't stop thinking about it.
