it’s cliche but the book was truly sooooo much better. the biggest difference is that the book is told from the first person POV of the mother and really is built upon the spiraling of her own thoughts, while the movie offers and outside looking in perspective. there were pros and cons. amy adams did a great job though
i enjoyed seeing the character of the mother interacting with the world through the lens of “reality” unlike in the book…
this was a wonderful film to help me get out of my 2024 movie drought!
i always appreciate a fresh & unique story. robert pattinson blew it out of the water. mickey 17 was lovable and weirdly relatable in some instances. i thought this was a really well done sci fi film and i enjoyed some of the goofy touches. obviously not as good as parasite but still a great notch in bong joon ho’s belt!
half a star deducted for some pacing issues in the third act

but for real… you can tell how much TLC was put into this, idk if i’ve ever seen scorsese care so much about telling a story. so good, will be an oscar sweep
i cant even put into words why i love movies like this. what an achievement in something new an innovative. as a person who lives their life through these apps and online sites, i could follow this movie so easily. older generations may not get all of the internet-related jokes but you could tell the directors/people behind the film really GET it.
