When I first watched this movie at the Savannah Film Festival, I liked it but wished it were not a musical. This is probably due to it being one of my favorite plays. However, my friends and I later confessed that the melodies had been stuck in our heads and that we had been secretly playing the soundtrack throughout the week. I’ve never been so repulsed by Mark Wahlberg, but I guess that’s saying something about his character development and the way he portrays it. Topher Grace and Michelle Dockery do a great job in their roles. There were some open-ended moments and others that seemed a little too cookie-cutter. However, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery shown and how well this movie held my attention for mostly taking place in a plane. There were also some great fight sequences. That being said, the story itself kind of felt jumpy and incomplete.

I remember hearing about this event and rescue mission in 2018. While some parts may have been a little dramatized, I never knew just how high the stakes were. My sister and brother-in-law told me that their professors still talk about this in anesthesia school. It is a solid movie and an even better story!

This movie clearly had a lot of thought put in to it. During the interview portion, I noticed that one of the characters had a physical glass of water. She drank out of a cup that was no longer there and then put the real glass back down. My sister didn’t believe me and we went back just to make sure. I thought for a split second that it must have been an editing mistake. Then, I quickly realized that the creators were asking the audience to question reality. I thought this was a very interesting film.
