i loved this film so much !! :D i felt like it played homage to the original production so well.
the performances were bright & colourful (despite what people are saying on twitter..delusion), there was an emphasis on elphaba and glinda being the antithesis of each other during more intense colour bursts in songs (like popular or one short day).
i also really loved cynthia erivo’s depiction of elphaba ~ especially because wicked is an allegory for racism (?), so imo…
