a fun response to the feelings behind communist Czechoslovakia and thoughts of what it means to be happy; the constant push and pull and flips in between societal structures of capitalism and communism as a direct response to each other (in different amounts); playful femininity and infantilisation, with consistent displays of Edenic symbolism, indulgence and hedonism. Plus it is audacious enough without having to have too much dialogue in the film.

Nosferatu 2024
This was so beautifully filmed, lots of gasp worthy shots, the attention to detail, the research put into the inclusion of Romanian folklore and addition of real rituals that were carried out (with his own spin of course), Visum et Repertum 1732, Bill Skarsgård’s voice and vernacular.. I could almost swear I heard him say “I vaaant to suck yur blood”, Lily Ross Depp’s performance was spectacular and all the body work looked cathartic, the costume design was beautiful, there’s so much more to say
Just immaculate
I may be bias but this all holds up
