Television still has the potential to mould a storyline around, in this case, an increasingly concerning societal trend with young males, to manipulate every human emotion within the core of one’s being and leave you bowled over, in every sense.
On a technical level, this is extraordinary.
On a human level - from the parents angle even without much of an explained character backstory - this is devastating.
On a performance level, the acting is nothing short of meticulous, delivered with an astonishing display of conflicted emotions (final episode) that just tears you apart to watch.
