The Room Next Door 2024
I so desperately wanted to like this film, but it’s like one of those times when you see the ingredients of a dish (Tilda Swinton, Julianne Moore, flowers, paintings, talking about VW, beau houses, fashion choices and styling, bold lips, death, euthanasia) and assume you’d love it, only to be disappointed.
The dialogues kinda seem AI-generated. I liked some lines, shots, and scenes. The development of the plot gets better after the first 40 minutes I guess. But it feels like such a waste of ideas, talent, and potential that it just makes me more mad.Translated from by -

I watched it because I’d like to watch the second one soon. This was really sweet and funny. My almost 28 years old ass still needs to watch materials like this one. Amy Poehler is amazing as the voice of Joy, and it makes me extremely happy because it just matches perfectly with Leslie Knope in Parks & Rec.

در اینکه مستند ارزش دیدن داره، پتانسیل خوبی داره و در اهمیت کار شکی نیست. نریشن روی فیلم بسیار خام‌دستانه نوشته شده و در اکثر بخش‌ها به شدت گل‌درشت و اگزجره. حتی در بخش‌هایی جملات همدیگه رو نقض می‌کنند. در ابتدا فکر کردم تلاشی برای موازی‌سازی میان موضوع و فرم باشه اما همونطور که جلوتر نوشتم اینگونه نبود.
