The Kissing Booth 2018
the wattpad dialogue in this film is so bad but i watched it because i am sick and i wanted to feel something. also because i wanted to see if jacob elordi’s and joey king’s generational talents could save this movie. unfortunately the answer is no. i guess this was before their talents truly flourished.
i will say that the only convincing performance here was joel courtney’s. i was pleasantly surprised. he is the real star of this shallow film.
i’ve discovered one thing about my letterboxd: i will only write reviews at length if the film is truly bad or surprisingly good.
